Brendan Beder
As an Executive Coach, Brendan Beder has assisted clients with change management, wellbeing and resilience coaching, performance excellence and stress management for over 15 years. He studied social sciences in South Africa during a BA and LL.B Degree, lectured, then specialised in commercial immigration law following his LL.M Degree at the University of London. He holds a qualification in teaching law under the instruction of Prof W.L. Twining. In 1992 Brendan established his own commercial immigration and relocation practice which he continues to run.
Brendan was centrally involved with the International Bar Association for some years and remains an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association. He has often written on legal issues and has spoken frequently at international conferences and seminars, and is often asked to present to partners and significant clients of London based law practices.
He has been an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching for a number of years and is a Certified Coach, having studied life and executive coaching as well as mediation at Regents College, London. Brendan is certified and licenced by The Fearless Organization, LLC to administer and debrief the Fearless Organization Scan (Psychological Safety Index). He has worked with leading U.K. and U.S. coaching figures and has worked with and within entities such as Visa, Microsoft, LogicaCMG, Fred Perry, Standard Bank, David Lloyd Group and Viveka.
Brendan has assisted numerous corporate, commercial and private clients from a variety of countries with wellbeing, resilience, personal development, change management, life and executive coaching.
He frequently works with leading international sportsmen, celebrities and captains of industry.
He has developed a niche area of specialisation, providing executive coaching to big business and professional practices, particularly solicitors, given his wealth of experience within the international legal arena.
Brendan has also studied and assisted clients with Autogenic Training (AT) for a period of over 15 years as a central part of a stress management and wellbeing programme. AT is an effective self-generated relaxation technique to facilitate optimum performance in challenging circumstances.
He specialises in Time Limited Existential Coaching where the emphasis is on focus and results, preparing the client to continue tackling issues effectively and independently after coaching sessions have ended.
Brendan trains solicitors, barristers, judicial officers and H.R. directors and related professionals in respect of CPD accredited courses.
He has been approached to devise, develop and run executive coaching courses targeted at senior level professionals with particular emphasis on client facing scenarios. He has lectured to teaching staff and PhD students at Oxford Brookes University on the practical application of Existential Coaching. He facilitates courses on behalf of established training entities, firms of solicitors and on a one-to-one basis.
